Why must they grow up?!!
Annie lost a tooth yesterday. Nothing new there--she's lost several at this point. But what she said to me stabbed me in the heart..."Mom, the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny...they're fake just like Santa, aren't they?"
Until just a month ago, she was still clinging to that sweet childish innocence of belief in all things magical.

Oh, I hate that loss of innocence. Please tell Annie that I totally and completely believe in Santa Claus :)
I agree with Stacy. I am a firm believer in the Big man myself! I often have Kindergartners ask me if I believe and I tell them in my heart I do. Then I tell them a true story. When I was about 5 years old I was looking out the bay window of our house and I swear I saw Santa fly by!!
I feel lucky that I have Mackenzie to share all that excitement with when the time comes that Timmy doesn't believe in that magic either.
