I think I'm beginning to sound obsessed here. But I have a few more observations on the whole subject that I wanted to get down (in case I someday want to scrapbook about this...which of course Max would be so thrilled about-ha!).
1. Max is so stinkin' cute! A week+ ago, one could not so much as mention using the potty to him. He shut down completely. Now, every time he needs to go he says, "Guess where I'm going." And when you answer him with "The bathroom?", he says, "Yes!" Then he moves on to the next family member he can find and says, "Guess where I'm going." He continues this until he has covered Mommy, Daddy, Annie, and Gray. What a nut!
2. I now have to pay attention when I do the laundry. Little boy underwear does not automatically go in Gray's drawer anymore. Gray gets the Spiderman, Scooby Doo, and Power Rangers. Max gets Cars, Nemo, and NASCAR.
3. I almost hate bringing this up for fear of jinxing it...but Max may have solved another problem as well. He has suffered from constipation since he was an infant (so much for the wisdom that breast-fed babies don't get constipated). Anyway, we're talking chronic constipation. He's been known to hold out for weeks--literally. He's been on medication for the past couple years. But since he's started using the potty, he's actually pooping! On his own! I hate to get my hopes up, but this would be such a welcome turn of events.
Okay. Enough already. I will now try to refrain from potty talk.

Well it sounds like that trip to his grandparents was a trip worth it's weight in gold! I am happy for you all!!!!
About that other issue! Timmy was the exact same way! I have a little boy in my class with the same issues and on medication. The school nurse told me it could take up to a year to get him "regular".
I think a party is in order for Max all of his successes!
take care,
Dawn
Ooh, you potty mouth, LOL! It's great that you're getting all of this down... you might not actually remember it all in 20 years :)
So cute that he goes around telling everyone to guess where he's headed... he's so proud of himself and he should be!
Love that they each have different underwear, too adorable!
