oh well.

Well, the NFL season is essentially over here at our little abode. (For my team, it was over long ago, of course.) But Rich is a Philly boy. So the Eagles allowed the season to extend briefly for us.

Wanting my sweetie to be happy, I was, of course, hoping for an Eagles win. But I wasn't entirely devastated by their loss last night. One-because the Saints deserved to win. The Eagles came through with a few big plays, but overall the Saints just played better. And though it doesn't always happen, that's the team who should win. And two-how nice is it that the people of New Orleans have something like this!

And I think for that second reason, I shall be rooting for the Saints to go all the way.

And I'm really hoping for the Colts demise--more sooner than later!

I sympathize with your husband, I'm sorry his team lost and their season is over. But, I can't in good conscience, say that I'm not really happy and excited that our Saints won. After all, the Eagles have been in a lot more post-season games than the Saints and we're just so ecstatic and pumped up about this. You know, they've never been to the NFC championship game in their entire history. The poor Saints, they really are overdue. I hope you do root for them, and I hope they can do it :)
