thinking small

When I read today's Ten on Tuesday, I almost decided not to play this week. The topic this week: 10 Things You Do Well.

At first I couldn't think of a single thing to put on my list. I can't sing. I'm a technological moron. A mediocre scrapper. But then I realized that I needed to think smaller. So, here's my effort to come up with...

*10 Things I Do Well*
1. I make great spaghetti sauce, meatloaf, and fairy drop cookies.
2. I wrap beautiful gifts (when I have time to be creative).
3. I'm good at avoiding conflict.
4. I do well on IQ tests and the like.
5. I am a list-maker extraordinaire. (Gee-what a useful skill, huh?)
6. I am good at making people smile with thoughtful little gestures.
7. I do a good job finding everyday learning opportunities for my kids.
8. I'm a fairly good at crocheting and cross-stitching.
9. I'm an excellent wife--even Rich says so.
10. I am told (and I hope with all my heart that it's true!) that I'm a good mommy.

why is it that we have a much easier time finding the things we *don't* do well...?

oh & never *ever* underestimate the power of a well-constructed list! ;-)

I thought about trying to answer that one myself, but didn't know if I could come up with 10. I think you did very well :)

take care,

You know, I would have never done this one (had I seen it!) either. I'm much better at finding things I do bad than well. Good for you for doing this, and I bet you do tons more things really well :)

P.S. Teach me to make a great spaghetti sauce! I open a jar really well, LOL!
