just a few things...

First of all, I want to thank you all so very, very much for all your kind words. You have no idea how much they've meant to me. And to my family as well. Thank you to each and every one you from the bottom of my heart!

Secondly, before we go running out of here, I wanted to be sure to wish everyone a very, very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! And for those of you not celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, I still hope you have a very happy Thursday! We're off to spend a couple days with my parents (can't believe I'm here packing again, after finally finishing unpacking and conquering the mountain chain of laundry...though I shouldn't complain, at least I'm not hosting, right?). And I'm not really complaining...I always love spending time with my parents, and well, I'm just all that much more grateful to have them this Thanksgiving.

Finally, I really wanted to thank all you who have joined Annie's book challenge. She is sooooo excited by how many people have signed up! And anyone who can make one's kiddo that happy, deserves a great big thank you!

Hopefully when we return, I'll be able to update my challenge lists a bit and get a few reviews written.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! We're cooking up a storm here! We made pumpkin muffins and chocolate chip pumpkin cake and pumpkin cheesecake and cranberry sauce and dip for tortilla chips and stuffing and baked some bread! Now we have much less to do tomorrow, and it's such a relief.

Hope you'll be recovered soon from all y'all have had going on, miss seeing you around!

I am so terribly sorry about your loss. I was just sharing with a friend the other day that there is something inherently wrong with people dying close to holidays when we are all naturally more vulnerable to the sadness and grief of it all. I really hope that being surrounded by family and friends this week/weekend gives you comfort, joy and peace and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. Multiple hugs are yours from us here in Kansas City.

Happy Thanksgiving Debi! I know that this one will be a little rough, but enjoy the memories you have and the family surrounding you. And tell Annie that I can't wait to jump into her challenge!!! I'm coming up with all kinds of "bonus books" for her challenge :/ I don't know if that's a good thing or not!

Happy Thanksgiving to you,too! :)

My girls and I have not "officially" joined Annie's challenge but we plan on it. We already started brainstorming our book lists ;)

Hope your Thanksgiving is great and you get lots of happy moments after all y'all have been through for the past week.

I am afraid your book challenge obsession may be contagious...although I haven't joined any others, I find myself looking at every book I pick up and wondering if it would fit into a challenge somewhere. Somebody better stop me before I go over the edge...

And Aaron is excited about a boy...it will be pretyy fun to have one of each and experience "boy world", too!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm sure it was harder this year than normal.
