good stuff

*homemade waffles

*hugs from lovable little munchkins

*this card, sent to me by Jean, after one of my posts last week:

Thanks Jean! I can't help but smile every time I see it!

*a wonderful husband who does the grocery shopping for me

*a visit from two of my favorite people in the world...love you Mom and Dad!

*hearing that all is still going well for my dear friend Kara with her pregnancy (last time around she a really, really rough time)

*finally finishing my first book for the month of February

*new books (Gossamer by Lois Lowry and Wastelands: Stories of the Apolcalypse edited by John Joseph Adams)...and no, I'm not even going to try to justify these purchases

Oh that's all great news, Debi! And you bought two books that I've been dying to read! Gossamer sounds so good and it's short too, right? And I REALLY want Wastelands! It has such a great list of authors who contributed stories to it...including my favorite ;)

Your good stuff posts always make me feel warm and fuzzy!

My blood sugar was actually O.K. after the dinner - even after eating half of a gooey choclate chip cookie brownie bar thing - yum!

Chris-

I will admit that that didn't escape my notice :) Has one by Stephen King, too, which is probably what cinched the deal for me...since The Stand is apocalyptic in nature and is, of course, my all-time favorite book. I'm so excited to dive into it!

That description just left me drooling all over my keyboard here!

Sounds like some good stuff indeed! I love this kind of post - maybe if I didn't feel the need to 'write a book' in every post, I'd actually get around to posting more often!

Your post is full of so many happy things! I gotta say homemade waffles are the best. That and having someone else do the grocery shopping. When my husband does that for me, I'm through the roof!

What a nice way to start off the week.

All terrific things to be thankful for and to be happy about!

The joy we get from purchasing books is justification enough!

Don wanted waffles this morning but I had some bread so he settled for that!
