photo fun

Oh how excited I was to see Medbie's post this morning! Seriously, you should pop over and see the exquisite photo she took! I just love, love, love viewing other people's photography. And I love to dream that someday when I grow up I'll be able to take gorgeous pictures myself. And no, I'm not being self-deprecating here...I just know I have a long way to go.

Anyway, I not only got to see Medbie's beautiful photo, but I learned about a photo meme, Lens Day, that I hadn't previously heard of. I used to play along with a couple other photo memes from time to time, but I really like this one, because it gives you a week to post your photo for the theme. The other one's were supposed to be posted on a certain day, and well, that's just not always feasible.

This week's theme: flower

(Taken Sunday at Tinker Nature Park.)

Great picture, Debi! I would really like to learn more about photography and really envy the pictures that I see people posting (this included!). I have a couple of friends who do photography so thanks for the info on the meme!

Don't sell yourself short, Debi. You do nice work, too.

Great photo! Love all the "green-ness" to it. And trust me, I'm picky. I was a photo major.

I love your photo.

I am so photo challenged. I have a digital rebel that I bought 4 years ago and I still don't know how to use it out of auto mode!

take care,
Dawn

I love your porcupine flower! And like Natasha said, all the layers of green in the photo.

I really need to get around to taking more photos again...So many things I need to do...

Medbie's photo is lovely, but so is yours! The meme seems like fun, I might think about joining in!

I wish I knew more about photography too. I even signed up for a course a couple of years ago, but I got ill and had to miss 3 weeks worth of classes, and then I could no longer keep up. I'll have to do it again someday. I really like your picture, Debi!

Great pic, Debi! I love viewing at flowers...and fruits! My hubby is the one who's always taking the pics. Maybe next time I'd want to take them for a change. ;)

Aw. . . Thanks for the kind comment! :D

And I love your flower. The hazy day (early morning?) makes a lovely backdrop!

That's a great photo! You did good.
I'll have to get a better camera than my point and shoot digital one day.

great picture! I like when people post pictures. It's fun to see what kind of things you can see through a camera.

Ooooh, pretty! Everything is dead, here. I can't find a thing to photograph, at least in my own yard. I'm always sweating if I'm in the military park, but that would be a good place to go. Okay, thanks. You've given me something to do, this week. :)

That's wonderful!

I wish I was better at photography too. :) I'm a lot better than I used to be, but I need to learn how to look at the world more artistically, if that makes sense.
