good stuff

How could I have let so much time go by without reminding myself of all the good stuff a day can bring?!!

*the cool, crisp morning air signaling that fall is indeed on its way

*hanging a freshly laundered load of towels on the line to dry

*a mini peppermint patty

*the dulcet sounds of Annie's flute practice

*the smell of the fresh cut grass

*a sweet husband who not only cleaned the kitchen floor for me last night, but did the grocery shopping this morning

*the thrill of gathering up a nice big pile of creepy reads

*an abundance of little boy giggles as they dig together in the dirt

*the satisfaction of finally beginning a project that's been put off for too long

As they say, life is good.

Life is good here, too. It's raining, but we very much need the rain. I have three quilts in various stages of completion, and am pleased with how they look. I am reading and providing feedback on a novel written by a friend. Yes, life is good.

It all sounds wonderful. Those are great reminders that no matter what is going on, life is good! Look forward to hearing about this long-awaited project! ;)

Jean,
I do hope you're going to share pictures of your quilts on the old blog! I love seeing all your creative goodness!

Carl,
Oh crap. I'm afraid this long-awaited project really isn't anything terribly exciting. I'm just trying to clean out my little craft nook, so I can put it to use again. (Everything that doesn't have a home tends to get thrown in there.)

Nymeth,
In case you didn't already know, you are definitely one of the things that consistently puts a smile on my face!

Life is good! It is important not to let those little things that mean so much go unnoticed!!! Those are the days you just sit back and marvel in the ordinary!

take care,
Dawn

It's getting cool there, seriously? Not here yet but it might cool off next week when/if this hurricane guy hits somewhere along the coast.
I wish I had some freshly laundered clothes of any type! My washer has been broken for about 9 days..the guy fixed it, then it promptly didn't work again so now maybe just maybe it's fixed for good! Well for a few years anyway!
