getting around

I absolutely love Raidergirl3's It's Tuesday, Where Are You? Posts, and yet I can so seldom remember to join in the fun. Scatterbrained, that's what I am.

But I'm on board today...

*I'm on one horrifically creepy patch of land in The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells. Shudder.

*I'm hiding behind a screen, trapped in a ballroom full of witches in The Witches by Roald Dahl.

*I'm in a hospital room, awaiting news about a recent eye surgery in "The Blue Lenses" by Daphne du Maurier.

You know, frankly, none of these places are particularly happy places to be. But such is life during R.I.P., huh?

things look perfectly creepy for the RIP, love Roald Dahl. He's like King for kids.

They all sound like perilous places, and what could be more perfect?

I'm still over-the-top excited that you are reading du Maurier! I'm in some pretty funky places myself this week.

My son LOVED The Witches. It's still one of his favorite books!

It sounds like you might need some company to keep you safe in all of those places :)

I have never tried reading more than one story at a time.

take care,
Dawn

I don't know, they sound like deliciously wonderful places to be in my opinion! :) Especially compared to work! Ha!

The Blue Lenses is the story I was trying to remember! Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

I'm with Carl; they all sound like places I'd like to be right now (even the hospital room, if it's with Daphne DuMaurier).

Isn't that Trish a scamp leaving presents for us? But, a sweet one at that!

p.s. I looked in our school's library for The Witches and guess what? They don't have it. I suspect that's on purpose, so there will be no parent complaints with its tricky subject matter. No witches. No wizards. No fantasy in elementary school. ;P
