were the heck did fall go?

It seems I blinked and it was gone.

*nearly all the trees are now bare of their leaves (much to the boys' joy!)

*the high may reach the lower 40s today

*the 10-day forecast (which is always so accurate-HA!) is calling for four days, including Halloween, with snow showers

*the stores have Christmas stuff out

Yep, it just went by too fast...

less than happy here about the snow forecast! I'm sure you would have never guess that! :P

I could have sworn I saw some wet snow mixed in with yesterday's rain. :-(

The past few Halloweens have been great weather, I know we're due for a cold, blustery night of trick-or-treating. Oh, how I am NOT looking forward to the 31st!

Jupiter,
What? You don't like winter? ;)

Melissa,
I don't doubt it...I heard it snowed a bit here yesterday, but I totally missed it working in our basement all morning.

Christmas stuff already! Time goes by so fast.

This is about the only time of year I can tolerate in our territory. Our weather has been fabulous -- 70s, and I actually sat on the porch to read! I did have to swat away a few mosquitoes, though, thanks to the lack of breeze.

Well, I've been seeing Christmas stuff in the stores for a while, but still, I know what you mean. We're finally having a taste of fall here. It's only 55 here right now, a big front just moved through and cooled us off. One day last week, it got to 87 and we were not happy :)

Bummer about the snow, and I sure hope it's not bad on Halloween. That's just wrong!

I hate that the Christmas stuff is right next to the Halloween stuff. I love Christmas but do I need to be stressed out about it for three months?

We finally got our first cold front and I'm not liking it. :( I don't know how you northerners do it!! It makes my entire body ache...I already miss summer!!

I can't believe the stores already have Christmas stuff out--I noticed that a few weeks ago when I went to the mall.

It still feels pretty fall-like here...low temps at times but no threats of snow yet and several rainy, melancholy days that are perfect fall weather. Yes, the Christmas stuff is out but I do my best to avoid those aisles...much as I love the holiday...in favor of holding on to fall for a bit longer. It is hard to believe that in only a few weeks I'll be out putting up the Christmas lights (I like to fire them up by Thanksgiving...a few days earlier on my b-day if I can).

Time is indeed a-flyin', wish I could slow it down a bit.

Wow, it's much colder there! Just now feeling fall like here. I have a picture from years ago with hubby outside carving a pumpkin with the kids right before Halloween, they all had on shorts! It was probably 80 degrees; snow showers seems odd for Halloween to me..hope you don't get it for that day!

Ugh...time is passing by too quickly for me these days.

We are not quite as cold as you, but I have noticed for the last couple of weeks the stores have had Christmas stuff out.

We still have leaves and it hasn't gotten that cold yet.

take care,
Dawn
