one of the many perks of home schooling

Mid-morning hot cocoa breaks:

*****

And on another note, yesterday's pouting paid off. :) My darling husband has come up with a plan to house more books in our library. See, most of his books are already in there, and take up 2+ walls. The boys' books are in there and take up most of the third wall (with Rich taking up a bit of it, as well as a few of Annie's books thrown in the mix). This left the fourth wall (which is probably also the smallest due to the bookcase from the perpendicular wall and the door opening onto it) for the remainder of Rich's books, the majority of Annie's books and for all of my books. This is also the only wall that we didn't already have bookcases for. We found some we really liked that would fit into the space, but we hadn't bought them yet. For which I am now eternally grateful. I don't think there's any way they would have held the rest of Rich's and Annie's, let alone any of mine. But Rich has now volunteered to build some floor-to-ceiling variety bookshelves instead. Pretty sure it was guilt. And not wanting to deal with my moping.

Yum! That looks delicious! And the floor to ceiling book shelves are a perfect idea! That's exactly what I want whenever I have my own library. It's sad when it gets to the point that we can't fit all of our books in one room, huh? lol!

I should send you a photo of Don's room or at least one wall of it, with floor to ceiling bookcases built around the closet door. Handy hubbies are the best kind to have!

That's a good reason to love homeschooling -- that and being able to take off anywhere, anytime for field trips. Because learning about anything at all is educational. I loved homeschooling.

Starting to feel a little bit of Debi's Library Envy.

Oh my goodness that cocoa looks delicious!!! YUM!!! I accidently made a cup of cocoa today when I meant to make coffee (they are K-cups and look the same!).

Guilt is good! I hope you get the bookcase space that you need.

take care,
Dawn

That cocoa looks so yummy! And those shelves are an excellent idea. I'm very glad you'll be able to keep your books in the new library after all!

Cool! New bookcases...see, moping does pay off (although I know you are not really a moper)!

Yum yum! You're definitely making me hungry here! ;P

Cool! I've always wanted a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf but space is always the main issue!

Now, that is one fine looking mug of hot cocoa! I need to buy some whipped cream, note to self :)

I want to see more photos of books and bookshelves. Books, glorious books :)

Yummy!! Now you have me craving that darn peppermint mocha from Starbucks. And how nice of Rich to build you the floor to ceiling addition so you can have a place for all your books. Can't wait to see it!
