good, good stuff

*Gray awoke feeling so much better! He'd been in absolute agony the previous two days due to a horrendous ear infection. I seriously think he cried nearly as much in those two days as he has in the rest of his life put together. Today, he's like a whole new boy. :)

*The most wonderful letter arrived in the mail from Eva! I kid you not, this was the most pleasant thing to arrive in our mailbox in ages! Here it is her birthday today, and I'm the one who got the sweetest gift from her. :) Happy Birthday, Eva!

*Our first daffodils are on the verge of blooming! Maybe we'll see their cheerful yellow sunshine on Easter day.

*A humungous bowl of fresh homemade potato salad in the fridge to go with our ham tomorrow. Mmmm.

*The anticipation of making a book pile and a goodies stash for the Dewey's Read-a-Thon.

I'm making one of those readathon piles right now. I hadn't thought of a goody stash. I'll have to get on that.

I'll probably have 30 books as usual for the Readathon...and get through about 5! :)

Mmm...that potato salad sounds good!

I'm SO coming to your house!! My husband thinks mayo is the gift of the devil, so we never get potato salad in our house. I'm coming over (books in hand!)

I'm glad the letter got there-you're so sweet! (sorry it again it took so long)

I love the anticipation of the read-a-thon as well. And potato salad is SO good...now that I'm eating vegan, I'm so glad there's vegan mayo. There's no way I could live without potato salad!

Aww, poor Gray. I still remember the ear infections I used to have when I was a kid. That was painful stuff. I'm so glad he's feeling better now.

Can't wait to see your read-a-thon pile :D

Amanda,
Oh, you MUST a have goody stash! :) Can't wait to see your book pile!

Amy,
Oh my...I'm jealous! I usually only get through about 2 books. :( I'm such a pathetically slow reader.

Amanda,
You're welcome ANY TIME! And I promise I'll make potato salad!

Eva,
I honestly can't tell you how much I love your letter! And I'm really looking forward to writing back...but you've been forewarned that my life isn't nearly as interesting as yours. :)

Kim,
You said it! Thanks!

Nymeth,
Thank you! He's feeling so much better now. He was truly breaking my heart.
You know, I was really thinking about totally limiting my book pile to two books...Nation and The Hunger Games. And while those are the two books I most want to read, I can't bare the thought of not having some ridiculously large book pile to gaze at. ;)

I am working on my Read-a-thon stack too. :) I am very excited about it coming. I am letting my reading buddy (little baby the cat) know and he is very excited. ;)

I just remembered this post after I hit the dreaded "mark all as read" and realized I hadn't commented!

So glad to hear that Gray is feeling better! Poor kid...ear infections just suck!

I have to write you back!!! I swear I'm going to do your penpal letter in the next couple of days...I've been very bad about that.

Potato Salad = Yuck! I hate anything with mayonnaise and/or eggs, lol

And SQUEE about the readathon! So excited :D

Cool good things! Enjoy the readathon this coming weekend. I'll be thinking about you and Annie from afar! I'm now back to reading the second Harry Potter in Spanish.

I was hoping for flowers, but for this Easter Monday we got snow! As someone that suffered with ear infections all through my childhood, I know just how nice it is to feel better! The pain could be pretty overwhelming at times!
