vacation photos, part III

Vacation: Day 7, part 2

Yes! We finally get to meet Chris! He wrote a very sweet post that pretty much talked about all the awesomely cool stuff we did, so I won't repeat any of that. But what he didn't tell you is what a truly special, truly incredible, truly sweet-to-the-very-core-of-his-being person he really is!!!!

By the time it was getting close to Chris's expected arrival at our hotel room, I was just beside myself. I was nervous, yes. But way, way, way more excited. I paced around that room and probably drove everyone crazy. ;) And the second I opened the door, well, it was like I'd known him all my life! Honestly, I really have no words to describe how much I loved spending time with this sweetheart of a human being!!!! The only down side? Well, I have missed him every single minute since we left. :(

And just so you know I'm not biased, my entire family fell in love with Chris, too!!! And I think you'll be able to see that in all these photos. :D Seriously, Chris is so fun, and he made every one of us feel welcome! Not to mention that he is a primo tour guide!!! Wow...what a way to experience the city. Seriously.

Chris, I love you! Hope you enjoy the pics! (I will of course be sending you that disc.)

Chris helping Max test the spooky tale about the slaves' quarters.

Oh okay, I know I already posted this photo, but I love it so much I had to stick it in here, too. :D

Walking in the French Quarter.

In Jackson Square.

What a lucky woman I was to get to see New Orleans with these two fellas!!!!

I hate, hate, hate seeing myself in pictures, but you know what...I'm gonna treasure this one.

Not sure if you can tell, but Maxidoodle loved his alligator sausage.

This picture just doesn't begin to do this Borders justice. It is absolutely gorgeous, housed in an old mansion.

Vacation: Day 8

Beignet Heaven!

New Orleans has the coolest graveyards!

Lake Pontchartrain.

Partners in crime. ; )

Love this guy!

Sorry Rich, but that face is so goofy that I just couldn't NOT post this. ; )

Did I mention that we had fun? :D :D :D :D :D :D

I LOOOOOVE these pictures :D Except for the ones where I look like a gigantic fat ass :/ I really love the ones at Morning Call though :) Such great memories already! I want to frame them all! Ooooh, and you know what? I found out something else really cool about that Borders mansion! It was actually an abandoned FUNERAL PARLOR before they remodeled it! How cool is that?? So tell Annie that she may indeed have gone to a haunted building ;)

I am so loving all the photos! Its not that I didn't believe you all had a great time, but I still wanted to see that photographic evidence of the happiness. Thanks so much for sharing all of these!

Awww: all of these are just precious. :D I love that pink shirt on you Debi: the colour is just perfect! That is an AWESOME Borders, that I want to visit right way!!! Ok, I've been typing a running commentary, but from Lake Pontchartrain down, on every pic I was just like "OMG! So cute!" And I love Chris' shirt. :D

Whenever I have a bad day from now on, I'm going to revisit this post. It just makes me smile too uncontrollably!

Photooooooooooos!!! These are lovely, Debi. (And yes I'm commenting on three posts at once - I adore the ickle butterfly.)

It looks like you and everyone had such a terrific time! (Next time you go on vacation, come over here. We've a bookstore in a church and because 90% of the books are Dutch, it's absolutely budget-safe. If perhaps slightly less awesome. ^-~)

I love the goofy pictures. They're such utter fun! I'm glad to hear and see you've all had such a wonderful vacation, Debi!

(P.S. Chris, you don't look fat. Hush or I'm hitting you with a newspaper. I'm very good at newspaper swiping.)
