smile-worthy

Okay, so I have to go to the dentist again today. And this time it even involves shots and drills and all manner of nasty things. I've already been sick, despite the fact that I knew better than to put anything in my stomach besides coffee. Uhh yeah. Way too much information. Sorry. Panic overload.

But I am not going to allow this mental meltdown to lead me down any paths as stupid as I did last week. Instead I figured it was a good time to focus on "good stuff."

*The Ask and the Answer...only a bit over a hundred pages in. Know a lot of shit is coming. Want to know so badly what's to come, yet realize I'm not going to like it. The events, that is. Not the book. Nearly certain I will continue loving the book.

*On a related note, Rich started reading The Knife of Never Letting Go last night. Squeeee. :D :D :D Doesn't it just make you downright giddy when someone you love starts reading a book you love?!!!

*This vlog. Okay, I hate that I caused Ana so much stress...really I do. But I am so very, very happy that she made this vlog!!! I probably shouldn't admit how many times I've watched it already. Kind of like the way I look at my pictures of our visit with Chris all the time. And Renay. Ahhh, I just have the greatest friends. :D :D :D :D

*This outfit. Just makes me smile. (And makes me wish that I could dress like her.)

*This vlog. Oh my goodness, how I love this video review!!! Amanda and her boys are just too adorable for words. Seriously. :D

*Okay, here's a no-brainer--the read-a-thon is less than a week away! :D :D :D :D  So, so, so, so, sooooo excited.

*One more vlog. Eva simply could not be any cuter...I just love how she arranges her bookshelves! And what fun getting an in-depth look this way...feels almost voyeuristic. Anyway, it looks so pretty arranged by color. Wish I could do that, but I know I'd never be able to find anything.

*And speaking of bookshelves. Yes, I'm still in the process of rearranging our "library." Rich put a few more shelves in the former closet, so I'm going to be able to get all of Annie's books (not counting the massive number of books she still has housed in her bedroom, that is) into there. And this means, I will get one whole wall for my fiction! :D And Rich also built an additional bookcase for that wall this weekend...we're sneaking it in behind the door. Anyway, maybe when I finish rearranging, I'll post pics of the completed sections. Ahh, I just love playing with all the pretty books. :D

In fact, I think I will head off and do just that while I await my doom...

I'm sorry the dentist is stressing you out. I know how you feel. :(

But your smile worthy stuff was so awesome! I'm so happy Ana did the vlog too, and that outfit of Annie's is adorable!

Debi, I just have to come tell you thanks for your comment on Ramblings this morning. I'm having such an anxious, off-feeling morning that I really needed that smile. Somehow you always know when I need one! #luvdebi

It's my personal belief that everyone should have at least one pair of brightly colored knee socks. See, I told you, you murdered the beast Vlogiathan, so now the floodgates are opened :P. It's like that scene at the end of the Last Unicorn :D

Thank you for everything, Debi <3 I hope the visit to the dentist wasn't too painful. And I love Annie's outfit too! I have a slight obsession with striped socks. Hm, not that I own over ten pairs or anything. Nope.

So cute-this post made me smile! :) Annie's outfit is so much fun! I don't have any striped socks, but I have lots of bright/textured tights, hehe.

I hope the dentist wasn't as awful as you expected. :/

Striped socks rock! As do socks with toes. And striped socks with toes are the best of all. Yes, I have them.

Have you considered an audio-book for when the dentist is working on you?

Yikes about the dental visit! I hope everything has gone well with the trip, Debi. I hate, hate, hate going to the dentist no matter what.

Annie looks so pretty with that outfit! :)

Oh I see that you got the lovely spyder jacket comment that Ana got too!! What the hell is a spyder jacket?! I have to go see if I got that one too!

I hope you didn't barf on the dentist today Debi :( In other words, I hope everything went ok :p Gah, I hate the dentist!! But I do love this post!! I love happy things :)

I seriously need to start the Ask and The Answer but I need to finish the other four books that I'm reading first!!! That's awesome that Rich is reading TKONLG! How's he liking it so far?

I'm still not over Ana's vlog :D I'm obsessed with it, lol. I've gone back to it over and over and over again too. I can't get enough of seeing her and of her beautiful accent! I just want to reach through the screen and give her a hug!! And just so you don't think you're crazy, I look at the pictures of our trip all the time too and the one picture you snuck me of Renay ;)

I love Annie's outfit!!! She's such a beautiful girl and she has an awesome dress style! She looked great in what she was wearing every day she was down here.

And I loved Eva's video too!! Her bookshelves are fantastic and she's even more fantastic :) And so super cute. And I can't wait to see your library all put together and I really need to shut up now. okluvyabye.

From someone that HATES the dentist, you should live closer and then we can do the whole moral support thing!

I hope the dentist trip was less stressful than anticipated...I hate to think of you so miserable you are barfing! :(

I think I love Annie's expression even more than the outfit. Such a good almost-teenage look!

Speaking of people you love reading books you love...did you ever read "Hunger Games"? You HAVE to read it soon! Or I may have to kidnap you and lock you away in a fancy hotel room (maybe in Bermuda? And of course I am going with you!) until you do!

BTW, love the vlog! I am so impressed you did it and had to go watch Anas to see the person who managed to bargain you into doing it! So good to actually see you again after so much time - it has been too long, my friend!

I probably need to quit babbling on your blog, but I just looked back and remembered that you did read Hunger Games, so I will let you off the kidnapping hook! However, you know the second one is out, right? And I thought it was as good as the first (not sure how that is possible, but it is:))!

Boy doesn't Annie look grown up!!

Good luck at the dentist, Debi. I've never had any work done on my teeth (except braces), so I don't fear the drill, but I grind my teeth so badly that I've just cracked the guard my dentist made for me. Yuck, huh?

Yup, I watched that vlog of Ana's a few times. For some reason I was surprised to hear her beautiful accent! She writes so beautifully that sometimes I forget that English isn't her first language.

And READ-A-THON! I've been absolutely euphoric the past few days--singing in the car, dancing around, veins full of electricity. I love it and can't wait!!

Ok, reading on...
