I obviously can't be trusted
A few posts back, I wrote about the deal I'd made with myself to buy no new supplies until I'd used up old supplies. Well, it didn't take me long to blow it. I did complete 16 layouts/cards. Which earned me one new item...not the 14 I ordered from twopeas. I am such a naughty girl! But they had some really great stuff on clearance...what's a girl to do?!! (But just look at a few of the layouts I have completed...you can see how I am managing to use up some reeeeally old supplies!)
Dawn spoke about how warm (and un-fall-like) yesterday was in her neck of the woods. Same could be said here. What a glorious day it was! Much more like summer. I hear it's not to last though. There's even talk of light snow showers on Friday. Could we please just have fall first?!! Still need to get all those fall activities in...the leisurely fall foliage drive, the trip to the pumpkin patch, the pumpkin carving, the leaf wars. Even told the munchkins we could try making caramel apples this year. Guess we'd better get busy, since the weather obviously has no idea what season it's supposed to be.
Managed to finally get up the Halloween and fall decorations yesterday. Although it's nothing like the major 2-day task of Christmas decorating, it did take a while. Mostly because I decided that I really had to clear the 1/4" layer of dust (only a slight exaggeration) from everything before I put my ghosties and pumpkins out. Left the cobwebs though...figured they added to the ambience of the season.
O.K., time to sign off and get on with the day's schooling.

Debi I love your layouts. I just looked at the last one I did and it was so LONG ago I'd almost forgotten what I'd done!!! I'm sure everything you bought in your shopping spree will be well used...eventually LOL!
I love caramel apples. That's is such a taste sensation :).
I have to put my Halloween decorations on hold. My DD is getting married on the 22nd at my house. I didn't think she'd like ghosts and goblins "participating" in the ceremony LOL!
take care,
Dawn
Hi Dawn! If ever there was a good reason to delay your decorating, I'd say that would be it! Christmas decs would be one thing, but Halloween...probably worth the delay!
And congrats to all! How exciting! Hope you all have a marvelous time!
You must be awfully busy!
