good stuff

*It's Friday!

*The library's spring sale starts today!

*The Flyers are up 3-1 in their series against the Canadiens!

*It's supposed to warm back up this weekend (the snow flurries this week were most unwelcome).

*Finding Gray's bad dreams weren't really bad dreams. He woke me up twice last night, yelling in his sleep. Sounded like he was having some really bad dreams. When I asked him this morning, he said, "I didn't have any bad dreams. All I remember is having a boxing match with a bear."

***edited to add***

*Me won the chocolate monkey! Me won the chocolate monkey!
Thank you Dewey!!!

yay for good stuff!

Boxing match with a bear...not good. My son had a dream last night that he had tons and tons of money and some guy stabbed him because he wouldn't give it to him. He woke up at 2 a.m. and never went back to sleep until 4:30. Must have been a night for bad dreams!

Rebecca,
I'd much rather go a few rounds with a bear than meet up with a knife wielding maniac! May they both have better dreams tonight!

He doesn't consider having a boxing match with a bear a bad dream?? Jacob's bad dreams are frequently about snakes and bears.

Melissa,
No, anything involving a bear is A-OK with Gray! Now a bee, on the other hand...

Nymeth and Chris,
Annie and I have been just giddy with anticipation all morning! The sale doesn't officially start until tomorrow, but members of the Friends of the Library get a special first go at it from 4:00 to 6:00 this afternoon. I asked Annie how many books she was hoping to get. She said 10 would be a good haul...I told her I was hoping for 22 myself. She then adjusted her goals upward :)

I'm seconding the demands for pics from the library sale!! Our library sale here isn't until August, and I'll be gone. :( Must find out when Monterey's is...

My niece has bad dreams a lot (she'll cry out, scream, wake up crying), but she can't tell us what they're about yet (she's still working on that talking thing)-I'm worried that she inherited it from me. But a few mornings ago, she just started giggling in her sleep-it was soooo adorable.

A library sale, a library sale! Yippee! One of my favorite things :) Have fun and be sure to let us know what you found.

Snow Flurries? Yikes, it's 83 here right now. Sorry :(

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Nothin' better than a library booksale! Ours is held in July and you better believe I plan all year for it. Hope you have a great weekend.

Congrats on the monkey!

Enjoy the library sale!

Good luck to the Flyers.

Hopefully, we're both over the snow flurries!

And I swear, Gray is the coolest kid ever. He sounds like he's okay boxing the bear, which says something pretty good about him.

So, one comment to all those with kids having nightmares - consider adding a dream catcher to their rooms. The power of suggestion and all that might help soothe those bad dreams.

GO FLYERS!

Wow my daughter was up as well b/c she was scared of her room. We could not get her to tell us why but she did not want to sleep in her room. We made her anyway and she did go back to sleep. However this keeps happening. Earlier this week she said a kangeroo was in her room talking to her and scaring her and last night she made me remove her Halloween Costumes hanging in her closet as well as a stuffed dog from Alaska but still around 2 this morning she was screaming and having an all out fit b/c she did not want to sleep in her room.

I wonder... if the Flyers make it to the Finals, who would you like to see them play against? Why?

P.S. I am a HUGE Wings' fan so be careful! lol!

CJ,
You know the kids actually all have dream catchers. First time Gray had a bad dream after we'd hung his up, he declared them a bunch of bunk. Tried to convince him that it was just one errant dream that squeaked through, but he was having none of it.

Heather,
Poor thing! They can absolutely break your heart and drive you a bit crazy all at the same time, can't they?

Kristie,
Well, I would have said I'd like to see them play the Avalanche (just so I could drool over Joe Sakic a bit), but your Red Wings just took care of that, didn't they?

That kid of yours is freakin' hysterical!!! I hope you're writing this stuff down (other than here) so that you can share it with him when he is older.
