systems gone kerfluey

Just thought I'd pop in for a second, before I head out and start trying to catch up on everyone's latest posts. Our computer and everything associated with it seem to be revolting this week. Our internet connection has been out more than on. Our e-mail will come up, but as soon as you click on a message it reverts to the login page. And probably worst of all, the computer itself has just taken to shutting itself off several times a day.

I'm just hoping it will hold out through the weekend, and that whatever is ailing our internet service is fixed...as I will be one extremely disappointed woman if I'm not able to connect with everyone during the read-a-thon!!!

Okay, I'm now off to hopefully catch up, at least a little bit, with my blog reading. And if I happen to disappear for a few days, you'll know it's just computer woes.

Oh I SO don't like computer/internet problems! I feel so out of it when mine goes out....my internet has been going in and out some too. When I call the cable company to see about getting it fixed, it takes several days to send someone and then it's working again so they can't really do anything about it.
Hope your stuff stays fixed for you this weekend!

We can have DSL woes here, but given that there is a total of 10 computers in this house for the five people who live here, having a computer go down is only a problem if it's one of my two work laptops (from two different employers) and I need a file that's on it. If we don't hear from you during the read-a-thon, good luck to you and Annie. I get little enough sleep on a regular basis that I can't justify willingly going without for a night. I'll be thinking about you guys, though!

Hope the internet and computer problems work out. Nothing like being without the internet!

You have my sympathies! I know I feel like I only have one limb when my computer is broken (like it is right now) or my internet is down, or our website is down. Like high-tech anything else, it just takes one to send me into a downward spiral. I hope your stuff gets fixed or stops acting all wonky very soon. Hang in there! :)

I understand and can certainly sympathise. My computer just shuts down whenever it feels like it!! I'm still trying to get it fixed!! (luckily I have my laptop) I hope your problems are only minor ones.

take care,
Dawn

Oh no! Being internetless during the Read-a-thon would be terrible! I'm keeping all my fingers crossed for you - I really really hope it works!
