a couple of random observations on Christmas

Is there anything quite as cute as a kitty relaxing beneath the Christmas tree?

(Even if kitty looks a tad pissy over having his picture taken.)

*****

Is it just me, or do the nutcrackers on this year's US Christmas stamps look like thugs?

Cute picture and funny observation. :)

You are so right about the nutcrackers on the stamps!

I did buy some of the nutcracker stamps, but also bought (and used on some of my Christmas cards) a bunch of the Eid stamps. They're prettier than the nutcrackers! And I don't want to know what Lucky is planning.

LOL! I now HAVE TO seek out the nutcracker stamps. Thugs! Too funny.

That's incredibly cute! And you're right...they do look like thugs!!! I just saw them at the post office, lol! By the way, I just announced a challenge on my blog that you won't be able to pass up ;)

He looks so cute! He does seem to be plotting some mischief, though :P One of my cats ALWAYS tries to climb the Christmas tree. He just can't be left alone with it.

I haven't seen the stamps yet. I still have to write my cards!

I love the picture of the cat under the tree. I could use a day like that!

take care,
Dawn

I was just about to comment how surprised I was that Maggie hasn't gotten under the tree yet--but I just snapped a few pictures and noticed her peeking out from under the branches. Why is it that cats gravitate to the tree?? I used 5 sheets of lint roller yesterday on our skirt to remove last year's hair before I finally gave up. :P

Love your tree skirt! Is that a quilt?

Haven't seen this year's nutcracker stamps. I generally go with the Madonna and Child versions over Christmas. Something about that/those art periods seems more appealing.

I think your cat is just trying to get the message across that it has laid claim to all those presents and that the kids better keep their mitts off of them.
