The Doll's House...random thoughts

The Sandman: The Doll's House by Neil Gaiman.

Okay, so I'm using this book for a challenge, which sort of requires one to say something about it, right? But I don't have a clue how to talk about it coherently. It's just so freakin' good!

I adored Gilbert. The Corinthian gave me a serious case of the creeps. The serial killer convention cracked me up, in a very warped sort of way. Desire left me feeling extremely nervous. I missed Death.

Bottom line...The Sandman is crack in handy book form.

It is :D And Gilbert! I love Gilbert so much. Did you know he's based on G.K. Chesterton? I think I only found that out after reading the book. The Corinthian IS creepy! And the convention...it definitely appealed to the black humour fan in me :P

I'm so happy you read this! The good news is that the series gets even better <3

I love your last comment that it is like crack! I can't wait to carry on with this series in 2009 and hopefully finally finish it.

Well this was just a perfect review! I want to reread these all so badly! I may go to the library tomorrow and see if volume 2 is available. You're right...they really are like crack :p

You are so funny! I agree with Eva -- best line, ever.

Geez, now I'm going to have to read this. That is not good. Our library doesn't carry graphic novels. It's a graphic novel, right? So, I'll have to swap or buy. Sigh.

Couldn't agree with you more. I just finished #4 and #5 recently... so good. And I love the characters and the way that they come back.

The serial killer convention was seriously creepy.
