at this moment...

*dreading having to write quarterly report this week

*panicking because I have next to nothing ready for next quarter

*on the verge of tears because I just can't get caught up with google reader no matter how hard I try

*exhausted after yet another night of less than fours sleep

*sick of living in such a pig sty

*wishing the high was at least going to break the freezing mark today

*wondering why I'm being such a whiny little brat, when I know that I have such a good life

*knowing I just need to sit down and regroup

Take a deep breath, Debi. Read all this then close your eyes. What sty? Do you see a sty? No! (Your eyes are supposed to be closed.) Are the boys at school? Is Annie either at school with Rich or otherwise occupied? If yes, then keep your eyes closed. Settle back. You are a good person, good wife, good mother. Take another deep breath. Think of a little thing you can do to make it better. Pick the stuff up off a table or put away the clothes in one room. Success! You have achieved something. Take it one little thing at a time. And if you can't do that, then go to my trip blog and try to win my contest. Self-promotion will get me nowhere, I know, but I had to try.

I've stopped stressing over my Google Reader. I have one folder named "Priority" that I keep up with and the rest I just look at as I always have something to look forward to when I open my Reader. =)

And remember that you are not alone. So many of us feel the exact same way...

Sounds like you've been peeking through my windows! I think we should form a club! Anyhow, I'm sure that by now things are already looking brighter. All in good time...all in good time.

You poor thing, I hope you feel better later today. You definitely need to get more sleep girl, but let junk like the Google Reader go. Just hit that Read All button and be done with it! And I bet you don't live in sty. But I liked the suggestion by Jean, just close your eyes and take a deep breath!

Hope today and the rest of the week get better and better :)

We're all entitled to be a whiny little brat when we need to! I know I do it all the time :p I hope that things clear up for you Debi...I know that feeling of just being generally overwhelmed and it's not a good one. I'm sending some peace and calm your way! Hope it reaches you...

Yes, take a deep breath, my dear. This you need not worry about: google reader (we'll still be here tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that); cleaning (what's a little more dust is my motto :P).

The rest WILL get done. It will. It sounds like you're going through a busy and stressful time, but it will be okay in the end. It always is.

Breathe in.....breathe out.... ☺
I know I get overwhelmed sometimes and I can completely relate to how you feel.

When I am suffering from that "pig sty" feeling I through everything in totes and tackle putting a little bit away at a time. (Though I'm not always good at doing that!)

take care,
Dawn

Sounds like you're having a tough day. Me, too! Take a deep breath, and if you have time, do something with your hands and don't stress about all the other things that need to be done. It helped me, maybe it will help you, too!

You're definitely not alone, Debi!
I feel that way with my Google reader too! ;P

Yeah, sometimes you have to let the google reader go! And you don't live in a sty, it's just part of having kids at home and living and loving life! It will be gone all too soon I can assure you, then you might miss it...well maybe just a bit!

More of a technical question--Is Annie the only one homeschooled? Was she always? Will the boys be one day? Scott and I have talked about our one-day kids and the road we might take. He is dyslexic and had a horrific schooling experience, and I don't know if I would more qualified than someone who teaches for a living, but it scares me that Scott didn't learn to read until we lived next door and I passed him my copy of Harry Potter.

I'm always curious about other people's stories and philosophies.
