why I love bloggers: reason 667

Because even when I write a post that apparently comes off sounding unintentionally melodramatic, they not only put up with me, but they are incredibly sweet and supportive and just plain wonderful to boot!

*****

Thank you all for the incredibly thoughtful comments on my last post. Seriously, as upset as I can allow myself to get over things I should patently ignore, nothing would ever really make me stop blogging. I love you all way too much for that!!!

And thank you all for forgiving me that unintended melodrama.

You're free to vent anytime you want, Debi! I'm all ears and that's what friends are for, isn't it? :)

YAY for not quitting blogging! :D

My first reaction was to comment--wait, what was reason 666, but then I realized that is kind of an awkward number...

Hey, why not vent when some person comes along and insults the blogging community? I'm pretty indignant over here, not least because we're not pretending anything!!! Gah! the reasons why I haven't gone for my masters - pretentiousness would be near the top of the list. That and how literary critics kill anything creative. Ok, will get off my bandwagon now!

Very very happy you are happy to blog! As Care says, Ditto. :-D

Glad you're hanging in there, Debi. Also glad I don't know who the elitist (insert profane term here) bloggers you're talking about are because the result might not be pretty.

I couldn't resist going over there and sharing my own thoughts on what was ultimately a thoughtless, cry-baby, gutless comment. I'm not sure I even agree with the few people who tried to say that anon. had a point. If he/she did at all then these other folks, who had the courage to actually put their names in, read much more into his/her comments than what actually existed. I probably shouldn't have went over there at all after what I said in the last post, but once in a while I need to exercise my muscles railing against stupidity, so thanks for the workout.

Huzzah for not quitting blogging! ^-^ And please don't feel bad about venting if you ever need to. As others have said, you're free to vent anytime you want to.

I am glad you are not quitting blogging!

haha, I could write a post 'why I love Debi'... reason being that I have been following you around the blog-commenting world and you somehow talked me into reading The Amazing Maurice... I was going to wait until I read 'Nation' but you talked me into it. :)

This post has come up first, so I now need to go and read what you said yesterday as I have no idea!

I've awarded you a chicken zombie :)

Well, I missed your post yesterday and although I haven't personally seen any of the book blog posts you are talking about I am baffled that anyone would suggest that anyone doesn't have the right to blog about whatever they damn well please. How sad.

And of course you are not going to quit blogging because I will not let you. And although I may not have much authority around my own house I am going to try it on you anyway!
