September wrap-up

Okay, so I didn't get all that much reading done in September, but it's a little hard to complain when you add a new book to your all-time favorites list, isn't it? Wonder if it was all that TV I watched...I feel like I watched more last month than I have all year. Of course, that does allow me time to crochet, because heaven forbid, I not feel productive at all times. ;)

It was a pretty big month in the book blogging world, with BBAW and Banned Books Week and all, huh? So many of you wrote wonderful posts about Banned Books Week! I feel a little bad that I didn't write anything here, because it is such an incredibly important issue. (I did write a post this morning that dealt with banned/challenged books, among other things, on our Living, and Loving Learning blog, but please don't feel the need to read it...it was more a sort of venting of frustrations kind of thing. ;) )

I agree with Stephanie - it looks like you had a great month! I don't know who Cthulhu is in the real world (can TV or movies be called "real world"?) but I still think your green guy is adorable.

Oh I just love the pumpkin. It is so cute. I want one!

You make me laugh. You mentioned how you have to be constantly creative even when watching telly. I am exactly the same. I cannot just sit and watch the telly, I either have to be scrapping, sewing or ironing.

Cool creative stuff there, Deb. I'm hoping that next week I can get back to that, not that the writing I'm doing this week isn't creative. Still working on Book Festival post in between bits of sample-size analysis. :-)

What do you mean, you didn't get much reading done? You did great, and definitely blew me away! :) I think I only finished 3 books in Sept, although I finished one today (10/1) that I had been reading for about a week. Wish that counted, hahaha!

I love, love, love all of the crafts! Look at your sb pages and cards, they look wonderful! And that's the cutest pumpkin, so cute!

That looks like a pretty good month all things considered, Debi!

I'm about to utter heresy, but there is more to life than reading books, as your post so ably proves. ^-~ You do so much, Debi! I'm awed you even have time to read!

And that Cthulhu looks adorable. (Never mind I still refuse, outright refuse, to pick up a Lovecraft novel. I have been duly chided, no worries.)

Merry October, hun!

You did have a pretty full month with your trip and school and stuff, so it isn't surprising reading was affected a bit.

The pumpkin and the cthulu are perfectly darling!!! You are amazing!!!

I'm thinking of starting a new knitting project, simply because I've been watching a lot of TV too, and I need something to do during it! :)

And you had an awesome month! I LOVE your little crochet creatures! I want to know the book too-I've got lots of extra yarn lying about.

Happy October. :)

I love your crocheting! My grandmother taught me the basics a few years ago but all I could make was a really ugly scarf (the scarf wasn't bad, it was the yarn I used). And your card! Don't even get me started--such creativity!

So Project Runway, huh? :) I've never watched it but have some friends who really enjoy it. My new TV obsession is Glee. And I even let myself watch without doing something else (like ironing, blogging, cleaning, etc). Sometimes it's OK not to be productive ALL the time.
