a bittersweet day

I know I've posted before about what a bittersweet day August 4th is, so I won't go into it all again.

But I did just want to say, "Happy Anniversary, Rich! Never once in these 18 years of marriage have I doubted the fact that I am the luckiest woman in the world! I love you!"

And to Casey, "We miss you, sweet little one! And we love you dearly!"

Oh mercy, your '07 post had me grabbing the box of tissues. Thank goodness I keep them close at hand. I hope you know that you are such a sweetheart!

Happy Anniversary and much love to you and sweet little Casey.

That reading to service dogs program sounds like fun...Bryn would be in heaven. Reading and dogs all wrapped up in one would be utopia for her!

Congratulations on your anniversary. I just read your other post and was touched as well. Guess what? Today's my anniversary as well. Looks like we have something in common! I'm up to seven years now.

Congratulations and hugs both to you today. I know how hard this type of dual-anniversary can be. My grandparents lost their middle son on their anniversary (he was 33 yrs old) and that day is filled with joy and sorrow every year.

I love that hubby's parents brought the tree back to you - what a wonderful gift.

By the way, your wedding picture is too cute!

Oh, this broke my heart last year when I read it, but I find absolute JOY in the longevity of your marriage and the happy family you've created. Congratulations!

Your anniversary is the day before mine! I think that is pretty cool :-) I've only got two years, though, to your 18.

Happy anniversary, and may this happy/sad day be special for you and your family.

Well....Congrats on the Anniversary!! I'm sorry the day has such mixed emotions. That is tough. I just read your last years post. (Man...look at all that hair!)

Loss is hard, no matter what form it takes. It changes a person. I'm sure you have a little angel forever watching over you now.

Happy anniversary, and I'm so sorry for your loss, Debi. *hugs*

Casey's tree is lovely, and so is your wedding picture. I'm sure you will continue to be happy together for another 18 years and more.

Thanks for checking in on my blog Debi-I was feeling sick and my internet had died. :( The internet and I are doing fine now though!

I just read your post from last year, and I'm sorry for your loss. Happy Anniversary at the same time, and Casey's tree is beautiful.

I hadn't read last year's post until now and I have chills thinking about your story. Happy Anniversary and hugs to you on your bittersweet day.

First off, Happy Anniversary to you and Rich, Debi! Y'all are one of the most incredible couples I know and I don't even really know y'all, lol.

This post got me all choked up before I even read your post from last year. I started reading your blog regularly after reading your post on Casey last year. That post touched me so much and it still remains one of the most memorable posts that I've read since I've been blogging. Big hugs to you and your family Debi.

Happy anniversary, hope y'all had a great day Debi! I remember your post from last year, very sweet and it must be hard to have both on the same day.

Congrats on your anniversary and I am so sorry that it is a day that also carries sadness with it. I feel so bad when women miscarry, even more so when it comes after much difficulty trying to get pregnant.

18 years! We will be married 20 in May and when I look back at our pre-wedding and wedding pictures it freaks me out how young we were...we looked like children!!!

Ohmygosh, your other post had be sobbing, here. I love the way the two of you chose to memorialize Casey with a tree that will live on for many years.

Happy belated anniversary! And, thanks for the reminder. I completely forgot I have an anniversary coming up, two days from now. Oopsy. They say men are bad.

Happy anniversary to you! And my heart goes out to you both for your little Casey; I so love the memorial tree! He must be so proud to have such loving parents!
