Miscellaneous comments:
Spending a lot less time updating this read-a-thon, but I kind of like it this way. Haven't done many mini-challenges either, but again, I'm enjoying the reading time. Loved Green Angel...what a precious little book.

Annie just finished her second book as well. Gray read for four hours straight until noon, and finished one book. Max read approximately 3 pages. Rich has split his time between two different books, but hasn't finished either yet. Of course, he was a sweetheart and took time out to take Gray to the big rock/mineral show that was going on in town. Gray came back grinning ear-to-ear, with several new minerals to add to his collection as well. Rich also surprised me by stopping and getting me a frozen coffee as well.

Traditional read-a-thon blessing:

May the bookshelf be there to greet you.
May all the books appeal.
May the fridge be full of tasty snacks;
the words fall soft upon your eyes and until the read-a-thon ends,
may you always hold a book in the palm of your hand.

Good luck today!

Sounds like Rich and Gray had a lovely time! I had internet problems and couldn't visit anyone for like 6 hours, which left me feeling awful :( But I'm back now :D

I had chocolate too! I love that your whole family is taking part-my mom is totally jealous of Rich and Gray's outing-she LOVES geology!

Yay!! Gray got some rocks :D Or you could've just came down here and gone hunting in the cemeteries for some ;) Sounds like it's been a really great day in the Stevens' house so far!! And I'm glad to hear that Green Angel is so good because I'm sure I'm going to get to it later. I think I might need to be sneaking in a nap soon :/

That Rich! He's a keeper! And tell Maxidoodle that I'm as proud of his three pages as of your hundreds. He's a keeper, too. I'm more than halfway done with my quilt binding, and have only read the papers today. Read on!!!

I just read Green Angel and absolutely loved it (although it helped that the silly thing was the most lightning-fast read of all time).

Congrats on managing to read while child- and pet-wrangling. I definitely wouldn't be able to multitask that much. ;)

Looks like you're doing great! I was doing great (er...for me, ya know), too, but then I got on the computer and the time got away from me. Anywho - better get back to my book until my dad gets home with dinner (yay - real food!).

Hope you and the fam keep enjoying your reading! =D

What a good hubby getting you iced coffee! Yum!

I've kind of given up hope on mini-challenge and prizes altogether. Oh well!

We have great husbands! They know our vices well...books, coffee, chocolate. I had a steady supply of all three today, thanks to my guy :)
